Talentwunder was founded in Berlin in November 2014. Beating 200 other start-ups, it became the first company backed by the Flying Elephants deep-tech incubator. The first platform read public social-media signals to predict how likely a specialist was to change jobs, and it helped shape the active sourcing category in DACH from the start. Over the next decade the product grew from that single signal into a full recruiting platform. Talentwunder 2.0 brings the pieces that used to live in separate tools into one system: cross-network search, candidate information, AI agents, outreach, project management, and talent pools. The goal is for active sourcing to run as one scalable, shared process instead of a pile of lists and manual steps.

Talentwunder was founded in Berlin in November 2014. Beating 200 other start-ups, it became the first company backed by the Flying Elephants deep-tech incubator.
The first platform read public social-media signals to predict how likely a specialist was to change jobs. From the start, it helped shape what active sourcing means in the DACH market.
What started as a single job-change signal became a full recruiting platform, built for the DACH market every step of the way.
Talentwunder 2.0
Over the next decade the product grew from that single signal into a full platform. Talentwunder 2.0 brings the pieces that used to live in separate tools into one place.
Cross-network search, candidate information, AI agents, outreach, project management, and talent pools now run as one scalable, shared process, not a pile of lists and manual steps.
More than 300 recruitment agencies in Germany already work with Talentwunder, on publicly available sources and with a DPA on request.

Talentwunder is founded in November 2014 and beats 200 other start-ups to become the first official investment of Flying Elephants (deep-tech incubator of WestTech Ventures). The first platform calculates the likelihood of a job change for specialists based on social-media signals and shapes the active-sourcing category in DACH from the start.
The platform is developed steadily, fed with profiles, the AI trained daily. We experiment with different search logics and recognise: not only adjacent professions but also career switchers with the right skills can fill a role. The work runs primarily on Boolean logic; the idea for Smart Search is born.
Talentwunder joins a network of the top 40 HR companies in the DACH region. Strategic and technical preparations follow to position the app as a recruiting platform. A full brand relaunch happens, the product portfolio expands with adjacent services. With the integration of the employee referral programme we start to talk about active recruiting.
We add the AI-assisted messaging service to the Talentwunder app. LinkedIn messages, connection requests and emails can be sent directly from the app. The app gains company scores and a city comparison for quality of life and cost of living.
Our team combines recruiting experience, product development, data expertise, and customer proximity. We build Talentwunder together with the teams that use active sourcing every day.
